Civilians Need Better Protections in the Drone Age - My Latest from Foreign Policy

Around the world, combatants are knowingly and intentionally killing civilians with small drones, in a deadly trend that has accelerated exponentially since early 2024.

In my latest Foreign Policy piece, written with my friend and former boss Nathaniel Raymond of Yale's Humanitarian Research Lab, we lay out how bad drone attacks on civilians have become, why victims aren't getting enough support, and what the global aid and human rights community ought to be doing about it.
